Gardelli is led by the world-renowned Rubens Gardelli, a superstar in the roasting world, and former World’s Coffee Roasting Champion. Gardelli has fed the growing appreciation for single origin lighter coffees, as opposed to the traditional darker roasted espresso that tends to come out of Italy. 

Gardelli sources most of their coffee directly from selected producers and green coffee importers to ensure their roasts always contain the highest quality beans. Rubens also uses a single roast profile for all his coffees, so the flavour stays rich regardless of the brew method. 

Antoine Vautherat of 10 DEAN says that “featuring international roasters who share our ethos is part of what distinguishes 10 DEAN from other local cafés.”

“By rotating our featured roasters, we can offer a diverse selection of coffees to our customers, showcasing a range of flavour profiles, regions, and processing methods,” says Vautherat. “This allows our customers to try new coffees and discover their own preferences, while also introducing them to unique characteristics of different producers and roasting styles.”
